the warmer weather always brings about melancholy for me, because I could trace my steps back to the longleaf pines whilst blindfolded

and if you’re thinking of me, I’ll be thinking of you

these scars on my body will be a reminder that I’ll never quite shake you from me, no matter how much effort I put into doing exactly that
